[He sat out there for quite some time. He didn't want to move, or blink, or do much of anything for a little while. But then he saw Edward on the steps. He slowly stood up, shaking off a slight build up of snow, before walking over to her.]
Wake up!
[He pokes her, just a little bit, with his favorite pipe.]
[No. C'mon, Russia, she's lying on steps in the middle of snow. That can't be comfortable. Don't you think she would have woken up by now if she wanted to?]
[Poor dear. Well, it's obvious she's still alive, because her breath is coming out of her partly-open mouth in those little clouds you get when it's cold. And if Russia bothered to take a pulse (why don't they ever take a pulse?), her heart's still clearly beating... she's just knocked out. Lovely.
[He's not gonna take a pulse because he's never had to before, Lithuania excepted. However, he'll note it in the future. However, the poofy breathing bit is very helpful right now. Honest.]
Watch your head.
[The good thing about being a six foot tall giant? It makes carrying knocked out girls over your shoulder very, very easy. He's not going to try teleporting with the second level right now, because his head still hurts, but this would have to do.]
[He hums to himself as he walks as quickly as possible. This isn't too bad of a lift, actually, and hey, he's got a scarf and warm coat. He knows where she lives, because he knows where everyone lives, so he bears in her building's general direction as best he can.]
[Not that the door was locked anyway. Ed doesn't care about these things. If people steal stuff from her, she'll steal something to replace it. No big deal.]
[Oh, he guessed that. The humming stops as he looks around for a bed...somewhere in the assumed clutter-y madness that is Ed's room. Aha! Something mostly flat and soft looking! Success! He puts her down, trying not to hit her head on anything.]
[Mmmmm bed. It's nice to be unconscious on something more comfortable than snow-covered steps. And hey, maybe the warmth will help her to wake up faster...]
[Of course. Anything beats the cold. Until she wakes up, he'll just be over here in his corner of woe. Well, until he remembers something very, very important, and his eyes go wide. He nearly falls off the chair, too.]
Lithuania! He'd better still be there...
[He takes a breath, and starts rummaging through his coat for more vodka. Okay, he'll wait for her to wake up for a little while, but if anyone asks, it's because it's warmer in here than outside.]
[Fast forward half an hour to an hour and Ed's starting to wake up, slowly. Her eyes are starting to flutter open, anyway, and she's making a few quiet "time to wake up now" noises.
When she realizes she's in her bed, she sits up, confused.]
[Did she... oh yeah. Okay, so, not a dream. But how did she get back... aaaugh thinking hurts too much. And now she remembers everything... and that hurts too, but in a different way.]
Nooooo. Nobody. Nobody.
[She's angry and sad and confused and ow headache... not a good moment. rawr.]
[He's actually...really shocked to hear that, and sits in his corner of woe. He puffs out a lock of hair or three with a breath. It's fairly dark in here, so hopefully she won't notice that he's shaking a little.]
They...they can't be gone. No, no they can't. They just picked a better hiding spot. That's all. It's got to be that way.
[She stifles back a sob and instead punches the wall. Hard. OW. Now her head AND her hand hurt. Smart move, Edward. But still. She's mad and sad and... rawrg.]
[Wakes up from being unconscious. Head... hurts... so much... shields his eyes from the light. Huh. Cold and wet... oh, laying on the snow. Slowly sits up wincing all the way, looking around... hey, there's Ed. No sign of the other guy though. He must have already gotten up, there's footprints in the snow. Then again, there's several sets of footprints. They weren't the only ones in there, it seems... he shuffles over till he's sitting closer to her, waiting to see if she wakes up or not.]
[SECRET WILL GO TO THE GRAVE or direct confrontation with irrefutable proof but that's beside the point. He just sits, waiting patiently to see if she wakes up... but then he hears the sound of someone coming - proooobably Russia - and darts off to hide somewhere.]

[He really, really doesn't know what to do here. He should probably get her out of the snow though. It's much too cold.]
